Overview

The Attach Sources feature allows users to add and manage various types of reference materials efficiently. Users can upload documents, paste text, attach links, and integrate third-party apps for streamlined access to essential information.

How to Attach Sources

1. Accessing the Attachment Options

  • In the query box, click on the attachment icon.

  • Two options will appear:

    • Add New Attachment - Upload a new source

    • Add From Collections - Select from saved collections (group of uploaded sources). See here How to Make a Collection

2. Add New Attachment

User can choose from:

  • Computer Files - Upload sources directly from your device. Supported file formats include PDF, DOC, DOCX, EPUB, HTML, PPT, PPTX, TXT, and more. See How to Attach Computer Files

  • Cloud Files - Select files from your connected cloud storage services. This allows seamless access to previously uploaded sources. Read more about Cloud Files

  • Text Source - Manually input text-based sources for quick reference. This is useful for adding notes, summaries, or external content that doesn't require a separate file. See How to Attach Text Sources

  • Links - Add URLs, including YouTube videos and webpages, to query relevant online content easily. See How to Attach Links

  • Websites - Attach entire website domains to perform deeper searches and extract valuable insights. See How to Attach Website Links

  • Connected Apps - Import data from third-party integrations such as JIRA, GitHub, Google Drive, and more. See How to Integrate Connected Apps

3. Add From Collections

If collections are available

  • Select a collection name from the dropdown menu to choose files.

  • Pick the sources saved within the selected collection.

  • Click "Continue" to attach the files.

  • You can update the selected collection by clicking "Update Collection", allowing you to add additional sources to it.

  1. If collections are not available

4. Managing Attachments

  • View attached sources in the Attached Sources panel.

  • Disable/Enable or Remove the file as needed.

Note : If a file is disabled, any queries made through files will exclude data from that file in the response.
